INSPIRATION:
The Automatic Turkish Tea Maker is an innovative gadget designed to simplify a lot of the hard work required by the traditional method of brewing with ease and speed. It automates the entire process to give the real Turkish tea without any kind of manual effort.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Automatic Turkish Tea Maker replaces the traditional process of brewing tea with total automation. Its sleek and modern design fits perfectly into today's kitchen, while the patent-pending sliding mechanism transfers boiling water to the teapot for perfect infusion without intervention from the user. Control the flow of the water for the desired strength of your tea.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Using the Automatic Turkish Tea Maker is effortless. Simply add water and tea leaves, press a button, and let the machine handle the rest. It mimics the traditional double teapot method, automatically adjusting heat and steeping time for the perfect brew. The device ensures consistent flavor every time, without the need for manual control. By eliminating guesswork and effort, it makes authentic Turkish tea accessible to everyone, delivering a rich and smooth taste with ease.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project began in 2022 in Istanbul and was completed in January 2025. Following extensive research, prototyping, and user testing, the final design successfully integrates automation with the traditional Turkish tea brewing method. The product is now prepared for mass production and is expected to be introduced to the market soon, offering an innovative and effortless tea-making experience.

The Automatic Turkish Tea Maker was designed through a user centered approach, focusing on preserving the authenticity of traditional brewing while integrating modern automation. Extensive research on tea making rituals shaped the ergonomics and functionality. The device incorporates high quality stainless steel and heat resistant glass, ensuring durability and safety. Advanced temperature control and infusion techniques were implemented to replicate the precise steeping process of Turkish tea.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
The Automatic Turkish Tea Maker has dimensions of Width: 250 mm x Depth: 210 mm x Height: 363 mm, making it compact yet efficient for both home and professional use. It features a dual-chamber system to replicate the traditional brewing method, with a 2.5L water reservoir and a 1.5L teapot capacity. The device operates at 1500W power, utilizing precise temperature control and automated steeping cycles to ensure the perfect Turkish tea experience every time.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Our process began with field research, user studies, and R&D testing, ensuring a deep understanding of traditional Turkish tea making and user expectations. The design journey was highly iterative, involving numerous sketches, prototypes, and extensive team discussions. Through collaboration and continuous refinement, we transformed insights into a functional, user friendly product that seamlessly integrates tradition with modern automation. This project is a true team effort, shaped by research and innovation.
CHALLENGE:
The main creative challenge was automating Turkish tea-making while preserving its authenticity. Traditional methods require precise control over steeping time, temperature, and tea water ratio, which are difficult to replicate mechanically. Socially, tea is a cultural ritual, making user acceptance crucial. Externally, technological limitations, material selection, and production feasibility posed challenges. Through rigorous R&D, smart automation, and material innovation, these obstacles were successfully overcome.
